KSM Consulting works with families and mental health providers to create and maintain a cohesive and transparent plan as a young adult transitions to college or graduate school.

This planning enables the best chance of success and happiness for the client in this exciting chapter of their lives.

Families and individuals often are unfamiliar with landscapes and services relevant to mental health until they are in crisis.

Katherine's focus is to create a roadmap and playbook to support both the student and family embarking on the student's next chapter in higher learning. Factors such as housing, culture, transportation, dining, student resources, rural/urban environment can be undervalued when planning to attend college or graduate school. Life skills such as medication management, communication with providers, and finding an advocate at one's school can be keys to success.

Katherine's professional and direct experiences in dealing with health in crisis inform her approach. An individual or family facing a challenging health landscape often face unexpected and complex situations, layering onto this the stress of keeping their loved one safe. Katherine's goal is to support the individual's identification of a path forward and locate the appropriate tools to get there. Defining a plan and strategy for the next steps give strength and peace of mind to the family and most importantly to the individual client.
